Tag + Jug Cider Co.

Barrel-fermented and aged ciders made like wine because we believe it is.

Established 2013

“What does a truly dry cider taste like?”

That was the question that ultimately launched Tag + Jug Cider Co. so many years ago. We were sick of drinking “dry” ciders that clearly had plenty of sugar on the palate, so in 2013 we micro-batched a few experimental ciders, fermented them in old French Oak barrels to complete dryness and launched our cider company in March of 2014. Our bright and fresh ciders were quickly met with great acclaim amongst our local Bay Area restaurants, craft beer and wine bars.

Later that same year, Aaron started experimenting with cider-wine co-ferments and blends and we launched our small, seasonal line of cider-wine hybrids (Flora, Rosé du Cidre, and Deep Water) in 2015.

Since then we have expanded our offerings to include a canned Rosé du Cidre as well as a stainless steel barrel-age cider “Cold Coldie”. To this day, all our ciders are made naturally gluten-free, vegan-friendly, unfined and unfiltered without back-sweetening or pasteurization. Honestly dry, artisanal cider, barrel-fermented and aged with time and lots of love, from our family to yours.

Cheers,

Aaron and the Tag + Jug Cider Family
